What it is

A dry powder paint is sprayed onto clean metal and baked on. The result is tougher and more even than wet paint.

Best for

Parts that need colour, a clean look and protection indoors or under cover.

What you need

Just pick a colour when you order. We prep, coat and cure in-house.

Finishes and colours

We stock [X] colours in gloss, satin, matte and textured finishes, including black, white, safety yellow and grey. Need an exact RAL colour? Ask us. [Custom colour minimum: $X.]

Why powder coat instead of paint

Powder coating is baked on, so it's thicker and harder than spray paint. It resists chips, scratches and fading, which makes it right for anything handled, mounted outdoors or put to work.

Good to know

Threads, contact points and holes that need a tight fit can be masked. Tell us in the order notes. Coating adds roughly [X] mm per side, so allow for it on tight-fit holes. For outdoor steel that has to last decades, combine galvanizing and powder coating. This is called a duplex finish.

How it works

How powder coating works

  1. Clean and prep

Parts are cleaned and blasted so the coating bonds properly.

  2. Spray the powder

Dry powder is sprayed on with an electric charge so it wraps evenly around the part.

  3. Bake it hard

Parts are baked in an oven, where the powder melts into a tough, even finish.

  4. Inspect and pack

Every part is checked for coverage before it ships.

Quick answers

Can I powder coat just one part?

Yes. You can powder coat a single part. Your full price, including any small-order fee, shows before you pay, so there are no surprises.

How long does powder coating add?

Usually a few business days on top of cutting and bending. Your exact date shows before you pay.

Can you powder coat over galvanizing?

Yes. This duplex finish gives the longest outdoor life. Select both in your quote.

Rather talk it through?
